    Busy Summer.

Summer has already been extremely busy for us.  At the beginning of June we took a trip to AZ to visit family and to be a part of my moms wedding.  All the grand kids were in the wedding and I was the maid of honor.  The wedding was beautiful and the kids did such a wonderful job.  I will have pictures in about a week and I will add them.

We are also taking a trip to Montana at the end of July for Family Camp.  We will meet Joe’s older sister and brother their.  We are looking forward to going home and seeing family.  The kids are really excited about seeing all of their cousins.

All three kids are in swimming lessons this year and are really enjoying it.  Even Ben who we could hardley get in the water just jumps right in!  We are also planning to do gymnastics  with Anna and Ben, and cheerleading for Katie.

The girls had their first ballet and tap recital at the end of May.  It was so great to see them and they did such a wonderful job.  I should be getting the pictures from that soon too.

I guess that is the only update I have for now.  I will add pictures soon.

    Take care!!!

    SCHOOL IS OUT!!!!

School is finally out and even though it has only been four days I am ready for school to start!!!  I love my kids, but they can really drive me crazy.  They have already begun fighting and picking on each other.  If this is how summer is going to be I am not looking forward to it at all.  Maybe once our activities start up it will improve!  I will post a few pictures here too.  Have a great weekend!!!

    Its Spring

Yesterday was such a beautiful day.  It was 80 degrees with just a slight breeze.  Which is nice compared to the wind that usually blows here!  Today it is back to normal.

We have been busy doing house projects and getting the yard done.  I redid the flower beds in the front yard and added three rose bushes.  Next weekend we are going to start the garden.  This year we have decided to plant tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, raddishes, carrots, pumpkins, green onions, and a few other things that I can’t remember.  The kids will help with every thing from planting the seeds to pulling the weeds.  They really enjoyed the garden in Montana so I know they will enjoy this one.

School is going well for both girls.  Katie is reading short books now and working her way to Dr. Seuss.  Anna knows all of her letters and numbers and is starting to read small words.  Her teachers say she will be ready for regular Kindergarten and can go to her homeschool.which is the same school Katie goes too.

My biggest news about Ben is he is potty trained!!! NO MORE DIAPERS!!!!! I no longer have to buy diapers.  It is so exciting to have all three potty trained.

Not much else to report!  Sorry if this is boring to some, but its our life!!

    “I AM SUPERMAN!”

Ben is all about super heros.  Superman being his favorite.  For Christmas the kids got a DVD (from their Dad), that is called “Super Friends,” and has Superman, Batman and Robin, Wonder Woman, and several other interesting characters.  The kids just love them and pretend to be the characters all the time.  What is funny is that my princess Katie, who is definately a girly girl loves them.  She says its because of Wonder Woman.  It craks me up.

    Its about time!!!!

Well it has been a while since I have updated this site :(  I guess it is about time for one!!!

Can you believe that it is already February?  Where does the time go?  I feel like we just get started with Monday and here it is Saturday already.  Maybe too many activities!!!  Last Friday (the 1st) was Katie’s 100th day of school. I don’t really remember celebrating the 100th day of school but they do here.  The best part for Katie was getting the cookie cake!  She is really enjoying school, although when you ask her what her favorite part of school is she will still answer recess and snack time.  Right now they are working on sight words, estimation, and learning their phone number and addresses.  Katie is getting very good at writing and reading.  The other day they made a book about Yukon and she read the whole thing to me.  And she counted to 221.  I volunteer in her classroom and really enjoy watching her interact with her friends.  She is generally good in class, however she did get in trouble once for talking too much!  Imagine that!!!  Katie talk too much?  She definately gets her share of her daily amount of words in.  I think it is more than the average 25,000.  Katie is still in ballet and will start soccer in March.  I was really surprised at how much she liked soccer.  By the end she was one of the most improved players.

Anna. or Annabelle as she likes to correct me on what she wants to be called.  She has really grown this year.  School has been so good for her.  She can recognize all the letters and most numbers now and is getting really good at writing her name.  Anna’s speaking is getting clearer, but we will still have to do surgery for it to be normal.  She still isn’t getting enough air to make the hard sounds.  We have found a doctor though and are hoping to get into see him soon.  Anna is still our happy, outgoing one making friends where ever she goes.  Next year she will be in Kindergarten in her normal school, and possibly all day kindergarten.  That will be nice, then I won’t have so much running around to do.  Our home school is fairly close to our house but Anna’s school is on the other side of town.  Anna started ballet, which is really helping her to focus more!  She gets in trouble from time to time for not paying attention, but for the most part she is doing well.  She also gets to go horseback riding with her school once a month.  She rides a horse called Smokey and really enjoys it.  I am hoping to find another stable that she can continue to ride at, that way I can get around horses again too!

Now Ben.  Our baby is no longer a baby anymore:(  He turned three at the end of November.  He is all grown up and almost potty trained.  For some reason I thought he would be easy to potty train, but he has been the hardest.  He gets a lot of mommy time when the girls are in school.  It is nice because he acts so much better when it is just him!  Then he goes to a Mothers Day Out program at one of the churches here on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  He gets to do a lot of fun activities and field trips.  Some days he goes to Katie’s school with me to “work” and enjoys all the attention he gets from the big kids.  Right now I don’t have been in any other activities.  Hopefully this summer I can find something for him.

So I guess right now that is all on the kids.  I will finish updating and add some pictures in the next couple of days.  Have a blessed day!!!!
